SweetS is a Japanese idol group from Japan that performs j-pop. The group forms through the 2002/2003 Avex Audition, where five girls are selected from several thousand participants for a dance and vocal performance unit. The members are Kashiwagi Akiko, Yoshimura Ayaka, Takewa Haruna, Iwasaki Mai and Takimoto Miori, who are also listed as AKI, AYA, HARUNA, MAI and 瀧本美織.

Career

SweetS debuts in August 2003 with the single LolitA☆Strawberry in summer. After training, the group releases two mini-albums, eight singles, one photobook, two DVDs and undertakes one live tour. Aki and Aya later take a six-month break from the group to prepare for entry into high school. During that period, the trio issue the single ~Yakusoku no Basho e~ (on the way ～約束の場所へ～).

Final releases

AKI and AYA return in March 2006 for the single Bitter Sweets after entering their preferred high schools. SweetS then disbands in 2006 following the release of the final single Color of tears, the photobook Hi!MA'AM and the image DVD Precious Memories. The final album, Delicious ～Complete Best～, follows later in 2006.
