Swampcandy is the project of Ruben Dobbs, who grows up on a farm before moving to Annapolis, Maryland. After playing music for 20 years, he starts Swampcandy as a vehicle for work that does not stay within a single genre.

Style and releases

Swampcandy’s music draws on blues, with the first CD, Dirty Suite, described as mostly delta blues. A later release, She Calls to Me, takes a broader approach and moves across different styles.
