Swamp

Swamp is a brutal death metal band from Moscow, Russia. The group also appears under the broader death metal, sludge, sludge metal and deathgrind tags, reflecting a sound that sits within extreme metal rather than a single fixed style.

Origin and activity

Based in Moscow, Swamp builds its reputation through live work as much as recordings. It performs with leading brutal and alternative bands from Russia, headlines a number of festivals, and joins a Russian Federation tour with Napalm Death, Decapitated, Dying Fetus, Crionics and Dead Infection. It also plays live dates with Anal Cunt, Grave and Blood Red Throne. The band’s tracks are broadcast on European radio stations.

Swamp’s recorded output includes the EP Once Upon a Time, the LP Bearskin, the EPs False Prophet and Evoking The Evil, the singles Demented Murderer, Son Of Disgust and Revenge Of Savaar, and the LP Aim: Collapse.
