Sunda Arc

Sunda Arc is a duo from Norwich made up of brothers Jordan Smart and Nick Smart. They are also key members of the Norwich-based alternative-jazz trio Mammal Hands.

Style and instrumentation

The project draws on the brothers’ interest in electronic and dance music, combining influences from techno, electronica, neo-classical music and post-rock. They perform and compose with a mixture of electronic and acoustic instruments, including analogue synthesisers, home-made software patches, piano, saxophones and bass clarinet. Their music brings together electronic experimentation with the expressive qualities and energy of live acoustic performance.
