Sulphur

Sulphur is an Australian dark ambient act. It begins as an experimental project by Australian solo artist Mike S. around the turn of the millennium and works with live sampling and synthesis over brooding loops. The music sits between dark ambient and death industrial, with an emphasis on bleak atmosphere and paranoia.

Releases

The project releases Der Fluch des Lebens on Cranial Fracture Recordings in 2005. It also appears on Like Music To Their Ears Vol. 2 on The Chimera Vortex Mechanoise Labs in 2004, and on DVT - Pulse Of The Mind on Stummenfilm Antihumanism Records in 2005.

Other acts with the same name

There are other bands called Sulphur, including a Norwegian black/death metal group from Bergen, formed in 2000 and signed to Osmose Productions, and an English indie pop band that releases two EPs, Highchair and 2cv, in 1994 on Transglobal Records.
