Sulpher

Sulpher is a British industrial metal group from the United Kingdom, formed around 2000 by multi-instrumentalists Rob Holliday and Steve Monti. Monti is known for work with Curve, Cocteau Twins and The Jesus and Mary Chain. The group’s sound is described as industrial rock with a raw, high-energy approach and comparisons to Ministry and Killing Joke.

Releases and recognition

The band’s debut album, Spray, appears in 2002 and includes the single “One of Us”. Another track, “Fear Me”, is used in a USA Winter Olympics promotion. After a long break, Sulpher returns in 2018 with its second album, No One Will Ever Know, which is described as slightly more melodic than the first.

Activity and related work

Sulpher’s activity is often affected by the members’ other commitments. Rob Holliday is a long-standing touring member of The Prodigy from 2005, and he also performs with Marilyn Manson and Gary Numan. The group continues to record material for a third album.
