Such Gold
Such Gold is a melodic hardcore and punk band from Rochester, United States, active since 2009. Their line-up includes Skylar Sarkis, Nate Derby, Devon Hubbard and Ben Kotin. The band also uses the genre labels emo, punk and punk rock.
Formation and early releases
Such Gold forms officially in 2009 and self-releases a demo that spring. Later in 2009, the band signs to Mightier Than Sword Records and issues the Stand Tall CD EP/7" in August. In spring 2010, the group announces a deal with 6131 Records and records Pedestals, which comes out digitally in September 2010 and physically in November 2010.
Splits, touring and festivals
In early 2011, Such Gold announces a series of split 7"s, including a split with Into It. Over It. and another with A Loss For Words. The Into It. Over It. release appears in May 2011, while the A Loss For Words split follows in November 2011. These records are issued through Mightier Than Sword Records and No Sleep Records, with the A Loss For Words split also released on CD in Japan via Ice Grill$ Records. The band tours extensively in the US and also plays in Australia, Japan, the UK and Europe, Canada and Costa Rica. Festival appearances include The Fest, Sound and Fury, Bled Fest, SXSW, Blood Sweat and Beers and Groezrock.
Albums and later work
Such Gold signs to Razor & Tie Records in July 2011. In January 2012, the band records in Los Angeles with producer Steve Evetts. Its first full-length album, Misadventures, is released in 2012. In 2014, the group records its second full-length at The Blasting Room with producer Bill Stevenson and engineer Jason Livermore. The New Sidewalk is released on Razor & Tie Records in November 2014.

Members of Such Gold also play in Taking Meds, Holy War, Young Pandas and The Hempsteadys.
