Subtronics

Subtronics is the stage name of Jesse Kardon, a dubstep and electronic producer from Pennsylvania, United States. Born in 1992, he begins releasing music in 2011 under the alias Arkitect before changing to Subtronics because of branding and use issues. He works in heavy bass and develops a sound that grows more defined in the early 2010s.

Early releases

His first EP, Cataclysm, appears on Ordinance Records in 2012 and includes the original track “Cataclysm” and a remix by Jenga. He then follows it with the Corruption EP on Tectonik Records, a bass sub-label connected to Ordinance Records. That release attracts attention from JPhelpz, Xaebor, Inval3d and Obridium.

Later activity and labels

After these EPs, Subtronics releases music on Suspect Dubstep’s Prime Audio and DarkstepWarrior’s Xenomorph Recordings, as well as through free releases. He is also associated with Cyclops Recordings.
