Strike Anywhere
Strike Anywhere is a melodic hardcore band from Richmond, United States, active since 1999. The group forms after the end of frontman Thomas Barnett’s previous band, Inquisition. Its music combines fast tempos, memorable melodies and socially conscious lyrics.
Style and themes
The band’s lyrics address police brutality, anarchism, anti-capitalism, women’s rights, animal rights and globalisation. They also support the vegetarian lifestyle, the living wage movement and opposition to corporate globalisation. Their sound sits within melodic hardcore, punk and punk rock.
Releases and labels
Strike Anywhere releases four full-length albums and is signed to Bridge Nine Records.
Political and benefit releases
The band contributes tracks to political benefit compilations, including a live version of “Sunset on 32nd” on 1157 Wheeler Avenue: A Memorial for Amadou Diallo and “To the World” on Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1.
