Straight Line Stitch is a metalcore group from Knoxville, Tennessee, in the United States. The band forms in 2000 and remains active.

History

Before adding vocalist Alexis Brown, the group issues an EP and a demo album. Brown, from Clarksville, joins in 2003 and becomes the band’s female lead singer. She performs on the self-released album To Be Godlike in 2006, followed by the EP The Word Made Flesh. A video is filmed for the single “Remission” from that release.

The video is directed by Dale Resteghini, whose company Raging Nation Films later launches Raging Nation Records as a subsidiary label of Koch Records. Straight Line Stitch becomes the first act signed to that label. Their first nationally distributed album, When Skies Wash Ashore, appears on Raging Nation Records in 2008.

Later releases

The band releases The Fight of Our Lives in 2011. The album reaches No. 5 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No. 34 on the Top Independent Albums chart. In 2014, the group releases a self-titled EP during The Dog Days Of Summer Tour.

Personnel

Scott Van Slyke is listed as a member of the group. Jason White is also part of the band and is mentioned alongside Alexis Brown in connection with the birth of their child in 2016.
