Storm Warning
Storm Warning is a U.S. classic hard rock band from Port Charlotte. It is a five-piece group whose sound is rooted in the blues, with blues rock, blues, heavy metal and rock among the styles associated with it.
Line-up and instrumentation
The band features Son Maxwell on blues harmonica, Bob Moore on guitar, Ian Salisbury on Hammond organ and piano, Roger Willis on drums, and Derek White on bass. Maxwell and Moore share the lead role in the arrangement, with Salisbury’s keyboard work adding a blues-based layer to the group’s sound.
Members and background
Roger Willis has previously played with Capability Brown and Krazy Kat. The band’s rhythm section is described as strong, with Willis and White forming the drum-and-bass foundation.
Style
The group’s music centres on the blues, but it also draws on rock and jazz influences, particularly in Moore’s guitar style and in the interaction between the harmonica, Hammond organ, piano and rhythm section.
