StoneBridge

StoneBridge is the performing name of Swedish producer Sten Hallström, active in dance and electronica. He works as a DJ, remixer, producer and artist, and is also associated with the acts Radical Playaz, Star Alliance and Karma.

Career

He first gains wider attention through remix work for artists including Robin S, Sia, Texas, Missy Elliott, Madonna, Taio Cruz, Pink and Ne-Yo. He creates Sweden’s first DJ and remix company, SweMix, and develops it from a basement operation into a successful record label and brand.

His remix of Robin S’s Show Me Love becomes one of his defining works, and his remix of Ne-Yo’s Closer earns him a Grammy nomination. In 2012 he receives a BMI Songwriter of the Year award as co-writer of Jason Derulo’s Don’t Wanna Go Home, which uses the bass line from Show Me Love.

Albums and singles

StoneBridge releases three studio albums. His debut album, Can’t Get Enough, appears in 2004 and sells over 60,000 copies. It includes the singles Put ’Em High and Take Me Away, both of which reach the UK Top 10.

His second album, Music Takes Me, includes SOS, You Don’t Know and Close To Heaven. His third album, The Morning After, appears in 2010 and includes the title track and Trip’en. He also issues new mixes of Take Me Away in 2018.

Other charting singles include Meet In The Middle featuring Haley Joelle, which reaches number one on the Billboard Dance Chart, Turn It Down For What, which reaches number five, and the 2016 number one Billboard Dance hits If You Like It and Put ’Em High 2016.

His recordings receive regular play on BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Kiss FM. He hosts the weekly StoneBridge #bpmMix radio show on Sirius XM/BPM and also presents the StoneBridge HKJ Podcast.
