Stoat

Stoat is an Irish indie pop and indie rock group that forms around John Hearne and Cormac Parle. The band starts in 1986 and continues in activity, with Parle joining Hearne’s band in 1987 when they are at the same school and one year apart in age.

The group’s lineup remains stable from 1999, with Stephen Whelan on drums as part of that long-running version of the band. Stoat releases one album, Future come and get me, along with a number of EPs and singles. Its music is described as varied and adventurous, and the group persists through the usual changes that affect bands over time.
