Still Flyin'
Still Flyin' is a San Francisco indie pop group formed in 2004. It grows out of the work of singer and songwriter Sean Rawls, who starts the project after moving to San Francisco from Athens, Georgia, in 2003.
Formation and early approach
The group begins as more of a collective than a fixed rock band. Rawls builds it around a song he writes with a member of Je Suis France, called “Never Gonna Touch the Ground”. To work on that material, he invites a wide circle of friends to rehearse, and the project develops into a changing lineup of as many as 15 musicians and singers at once in live local performances.
Line-up
The group includes Phil Horan, Isobel Knowles, Bren Mead, Yoshi Nakamoto, Gary Olson, Sean Rawls and Gabe Saucedo.
Style and activity
Still Flyin' is identified with indie pop and indie rock, and remains active from 2004 onward.
