Stereopol

Stereopol is a group from Norway, active since 2012, and identified as a Nordic indie pop act. The name also appears in connection with a Norwegian indie rock project and a separate collaboration between Eric Amarillo (Erik Sundborg) and Michael Feiner, but the Norwegian group is the active act associated with the 2012 start date.

Style and activity

The group works in indie pop and indie rock, with its sound described in Norwegian press as grand, cinematic indie-pop-rock with a distinct character. It releases music as a recording project rather than a large-scale live profile in the available information.

Releases

Stereopol releases an EP that receives extensive Norwegian airplay. Its debut album appears in 2012. The single Fingertips is issued on the Diamond Club label. A second album follows after that debut, with several singles issued in the same period.

Related name usage

The name Stereopol is also used for an earlier collaboration between Eric Amarillo and Michael Feiner on the 2003 release Dancin' Tonight. In later work, that pair uses the name The Attic.
