Stereo Virgins are a Liverpool group active since 2010. They play a grunge-based sound with catchy melodies and fuzz-laden riffs, and are associated with the stoner and doom tags.

Line-up

The band consists of Stuart Sinclair on vocals and guitar, Rachel Alveston on vocals and guitar, Beck Alveston on bass, and Lyam Kirkham on drums.

Background

The group emerges from the Liverpool rock scene and first surfaces in 2007, initially operating outside the city’s then-dominant scouse-rock style. They build their reputation through self-promotion and their own shows, and also support acts including Dave MacPherson of INME, Japanese Voyeurs and Die So Fluid.
