Steevio is a UK techno producer and electronic musician with a long history in dance music and related underground scenes. He co-manages the UK's first electro-funk and breakdance club, The Sidewalk, in Newcastle in the early 1980s, and is the driving force behind Acid, an early experimental electrofunk outfit formed in 1983.

In the late 1980s he plays guitar in Dead Flowers, an acid rock and grunge crossover band, before discovering techno and releasing his first track in 1992. In 1994 he co-founds the acid label Roost Records and records under the name 3000003. He later co-founds Torque Recordings in 1997, a tough techno-funk label, and begins releasing material as Mindtours and Free Radicals with co-writer Charlie Henderson.

Steevio also helps form the Mindtours label in 2000. His later work moves towards deeper and more experimental styles, combining techno, minimal house, broken beat, dub and jazz. He keeps a live hardware approach to production and performance, and his music is described as using analogue ideas, polyrhythms, broken 4/4 structures and shifting percussive textures.
