Ste McCabe

Ste McCabe is a UK pop-punk and DIY one-person project that combines punk guitars, retro beats and a sarcastic perspective with working-class, queer and feminist lyrics. Active since summer 2006, McCabe appears at punk, indiepop, riot grrrl and DIY events and has releases on Cherryade Records. The music is described through references to powerpop and disco-punk, with a sound that draws comparisons to Pete Shelley, Billy Bragg, Le Tigre and Peaches.

McCabe is identified as a queer artist working in the indie and punk sphere, and the project is associated with clubby, danceable elements as well as guitar-driven punk. Performances have taken place around Europe.
