Static Thought is a punk rock band that forms in Oakland, United States, in 2000. It begins in Richmond, California, with Travis Davant, Eric Urbach and Charlie Vincent, and it remains active.

Line-up

Static Thought features Eric Urbach on guitar and vocals, Travis Davant on drums, Mike Leon on bass and vocals, and Daniel Garcia on guitar and vocals. The group starts with Davant, Urbach and bassist Charlie Vincent. Vincent leaves in 2003 and is replaced by Leon. Vincent returns on rhythm guitar in 2005 before Garcia later takes that role.

Style and releases

The band plays punk rock with a fast, edgy sound and lyrics described as politically and emotionally charged. Its first release is In the Trenches on Hellcat Records. The release includes twelve punk rock songs and a cover of the Police song “Next to You”.

Touring

Static Thought tours across the United States with label mates Nekromantix, the Heart Attacks and Left Alone.
