Stateless

Stateless are a UK indie electronic band from Leeds, active since 2002. The group is associated with alternative rock and indie pop, and is also described as a trip-hop, electronic, downtempo and lounge act.

Line-up

The band’s members are Rod Buchanan Dunlop, Chris James, kidkanevil, Justin Percival, Jimmy Sturdy and Jon Taylor. In the band’s early line-up, Chris James handles lead vocals, keyboards and guitars; kidkanevil plays turntables, sampling and programming; Justin Percival plays bass and sings; and Dave Levin plays drums.

Releases

Stateless release a self-titled debut album on !K7, followed by Matilda on Ninja Tune. Their recorded work sits within the wider UK electronic and rock-influenced scene.
