State Of Error
State Of Error are a four-piece melodic punk and pop-metal group from Bradford, West Yorkshire, based in Queensbury. The band forms in March 2006 and remains active. Tom Partyka plays guitar, Mikey Green plays bass and sings backing vocals, and Danny Moore plays drums and sings backing vocals; these three have been with the band since the start. Richard Hadley joins in July 2007 as the third and final lead singer, and also plays rhythm guitar.
Live activity and festivals
By February 2010, the band has played more than 200 gigs. Their live work includes support slots with Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, My Passion and Amy Can Flyy. They also play festivals including Huddstock in Huddersfield, Settle Cycling Festival, Guiseley Music Festival near Leeds, and CockRock in Cockermouth, Cumbria. The band also wins four Battle Of The Bands competitions.
Recordings
State Of Error release a series of EPs and an album across several West Yorkshire and northern England studios and labels. Their discography includes the State Of Error Demo EP, recorded at Vaultage Studios in Bradford in January 2007 with Jack Berry on lead vocals; First Floor: Sportwear, Lingerie, Cosmetics & The Demo EP on 1st Floor Music Halifax in October 2007; The Mirror Theory EP at Soundstation Studio in Horbury in February 2008; the track Deos on Calder Recordings in September 2008; Sick Thrill EP at Soundstation Studio in December 2008; the 10-track debut album Declaration Of Retreat on Big Tone Recordings in Eccles in September 2009; B Sides The C-Sides EP, recorded in Holmfield and Queensbury in May 2010; and The Axis Sessions on Axis Productions in Doncaster in July 2010.
