Starkey

Starkey is the project of PJ Geissinger, an electronic artist from the United States who is based in Philadelphia. He works across dubstep, post-dubstep, UK garage and wonky, and is also associated with IDM, grime, breakcore and glitch.

Career

Geissinger performs as both a live act and a DJ, and has spent a number of years playing in Philadelphia. In 2005, he wins both the Mid-Atlantic and North American Laptop Battle titles. He releases music on the Slit Jockey label in the United States and on Werk Discs in the UK.

Collaborations and scene connections

Starkey performs with a range of significant figures from the IDM, breakcore, grime and dubstep scenes internationally. His work places him within the electronic underground and across several related styles.
