Stand-Up Guy

Stand-Up Guy are a post-metal band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 2000. The group’s line-up includes guitarists Ian Booth and Paul McClure, both of whom also sing, along with bassist Philip Donnelly and drummer Conor Mullan. Their music is compared with Will Haven, Neurosis and Deftones.

Releases

The band releases its first album, In Fixation, Conspire, in 2004 on Distortion Project Records. A second album, Avenue Unawares, follows in 2007, also on Distortion Project Records.

Line-up changes

Paul McClure, one of the founding members, leaves the band in 2008. After that, Michael Ahern of Countervela joins on guitar, and Francis McEldowney joins on keyboards and samples.

Later activity

Stand-Up Guy disband in 2010.
