St. Spirit

St. Spirit are a UK group from South London who have been active since 2012. They are described as a South London choral post-rock act, and their music is tagged as post-rock and shoegaze. The band is fronted by songwriter and guitarist Myles McCabe.

Their sound combines sweet melodies, choppy chords and broad lyrics, and is described as moving between the harmonies associated with Brian Wilson and the feedback-heavy guitar style linked to My Bloody Valentine. The group forms after hearing Loveless, the My Bloody Valentine album that influences their approach.

St. Spirit record a set of tracks at co-songwriter and guitarist Sam Robson’s house. One of their early official videos is an animated story built around life and death for the song “Build a Life”.
