Spitzer Space Telescope

Spitzer Space Telescope is a group from Chicago built around Dan MacDonald. It starts in December 2005 and first develops in small venues, including Magdalena’s Tea House in Lansing, before playing across mid-Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

The project makes music that draws on 1970s folk and combines it with an acoustic rock sound. Dan MacDonald is the only named member and performs as a one-person stage act, with a live presence described as central to the project’s appeal. The group has two CDs out.
