Spear Of Destiny

Spear Of Destiny is a British post-punk band from London, active from 1983 to the present. It is led by singer and songwriter Kirk Brandon, who previously fronts Theatre of Hate, and includes Micky Donnelly, Mike Kelly and Neil Pyzer. The group’s sound sits within alternative rock, gothic rock, new wave and post-punk.

Career

The band forms in London in 1982 and develops out of the work of Kirk Brandon and bassist Stan Stammers. Spear Of Destiny is best known for the single “Never Take Me Alive”, which reaches the UK top 20 in 1987. Over its career, the group releases 15 studio albums and continues to tour under the Spear Of Destiny name.
