Sparkz

Sparkz is a Dutch hardstyle DJ and producer, identified as Eloy Willemsen. He is also described in one account as a UK hardcore producer, and the details associated with that name point to work across hardcore, hardstyle and related electronic styles.

Production and releases

Sparkz says he has been producing for more than 10 years and has a long list of releases. His early output begins with a release on Ultimate Rush. He later sets up his own label, Lightning Sunset Records, but decides to abandon it before its first release. After that he releases material on Cutting Edge Hardcore and co-runs Hardcore Producer Volume 2, a free album.

He also enters the Tryed and Tested remix competition and wins, leading to the release of his winning remix. For a short period he joins KRush Records, though he later decides the label is not for him. He continues to have releases on labels and also offers services including help and track remixes for developing artists. In addition, he works on MIDI construction packs for websites such as Studio Loopz.

Earlier career and Manchester connection

Another profile for Sparkz describes him as Manchester born. In that account he starts writing lyrics and producing his own tunes at 15. He wins the MCR Superstars music competition in 2009, receiving a prize that takes him to New York to meet hip hop artists and work in the studio with them.

Following that win, he focuses more heavily on music, improving his production skills and performing on the microphone at nights in Manchester. That profile also notes that he appears alongside artists including Mouse Outfit, Broke n £nglish and Skittles, and that he prepares a free download titled Back To Basics EP.
