Sparky Riot

Sparky Riot is a Paris-based group active since 2012. It forms around vocalist Daman and producer 4bstr4ck3r, who begin the project at the end of 2012 through a shared interest in dub and a history of earlier collaborations. Adi later joins the group, contributing clarinet, keyboard and other instruments.

Style and approach

The group works across dub, reggae, anarchist and electronica, with electro dub also associated with its sound. Its music draws on early dancehall, dubstep and traditional musics, and combines digital production with libertarian lyrics. The trio aims to create dance-oriented music with a playful energy and a conscious message.
