Space Heroes of the People

Space Heroes of the People is an Oxford, UK group formed in 2006. The act centres on Jo Edge and Tim Day and uses samples, loops, double bass and random drums. Its sound is associated with indie, electropop, krautrock, electronic and avant-garde music, and it draws on synthpop, modern architecture, pretentious art, medieval history and Soviet science fiction as influences.

The group later goes on long-term hiatus in 2017. Some recordings remain available, and Tim Day later forms another duo called Means Of Production with his wife, Jeremy.
