Space Cowboy

Space Cowboy is the stage name of Nicolas Jean-Pierre Patrick Dresti, a French-British singer-songwriter, DJ and producer born in 1975 in Paris, France. Born in France and raised in England, he begins recording in 1992 and works under a series of names before adopting Space Cowboy in 2002.

Early releases and aliases

Dresti first records breakbeat hardcore material under the names Vibes and DJ Apex. He later uses the name Nicky Fabulous and releases the four-track EP Pussy Galore in 1995. Over the course of his career he also records as DJ Supreme, Kings of Rhythm, Loop Da Loop and DJ Chrome.

Albums and collaborations

As Space Cowboy, he covers Prince’s I Would Die 4 U in 2002. His first studio album, Across the Sky, appears in 2003. This is followed by Big City Nights and Digital Rock, with Digital Rock Star issued later as a re-release of Digital Rock. He is also best known for his collaborations with Lady Gaga and Nadia Oh.
