Sound of Rum is a UK hip-hop and spoken word group formed in 2008. The group features Kae Tempest, Archie Marsh and Ferry Lawrenson. It performs a crossover style that also draws on funk.

Activity and performances

The group plays live across Britain and appears at festivals as well as in informal street settings such as busking. It builds a reputation through frequent touring and performance rather than through a long recorded catalogue.

Recording plans

Sound of Rum is working on its first full-length album, with singles also planned. The album is set for release on Sunday Best.
