Soul Brothers
Soul Brothers are a South African group from Soweto, known for playing in an afrobeat style and for their particular version of mbaqanga, the township jive sound associated with South African popular music. The group helps define the sound of South Africa and becomes well known in their home country as well as in many other parts of the world.
History and line-up
Over the course of their career, Soul Brothers release more than 30 albums. Singer David Masondo and keyboardist Moses Ngwenya play together from 1976. The group is one of several acts to use the name Soul Brothers, but this South African group is the Soweto-based outfit referred to here.
