Sorcha Richardson

Sorcha Richardson is a singer and songwriter from Dublin, born in 1990. She is based in Dublin and returns there in 2017 after living in New York for eight years. Her music is described as atmospheric folk and sits within dream pop, indie pop and folk.

Releases

She releases her debut EP, Sleep Will Set Me Free, in 2012, followed by the EP Last Train on Parisian indie label Crosswalk Records. Her debut album, First Prize Bravery, appears in 2019. The album is shortlisted for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize album of the year.

Style and reception

Her songs are characterised as intimate and personal pop, and her folk writing is likened to “bedroom songs sung from a big city window”.
