Sophie Ballamy is a singer-songwriter from North Wales and Chester. Her music combines acoustic, folk and indie-pop elements, and she is compared with Laura Marling, Camera Obscura, Stevie Nicks and Bon Iver. She releases music independently and has issued a six-track EP called My Friend, The Moon.

Ballamy also performs live regularly and appears at a range of gigs with other artists. Her songwriting and guitar playing are noted for a playful, inventive approach.
