Sonerien Du

Sonerien Du is a Breton folk group from Pont-l'Abbé, France, active since 1972. The group specialises in fest noz music and works in a folk-rock style rooted in Breton tradition.

The name means “black sonneurs” in Breton. The line-up changes over time, and the group currently includes Jean Pierre Le Cam on bass, guitar and vocals; Gerard Belbeoc'h on percussion and vocals; Philippe Ferec on keyboards, accordion and vocals; Herve Kemeis on violin, guitars and vocals; Dominique Lardic on guitar and vocals; Julien Tymen on bombarde, flute and vocals; and Chim Cadudal on biniou, veuze, gaeta and vocals.
