Son of Kick is a UK DJ and multi-instrumentalist based in London. His music sits across electro, experimental hip hop, hip hop and hip house, with the input also placing him in electronic, dubstep, glitch hop and related bass-heavy styles. He develops a reputation for energetic sets built around heavy electro and dubstep.

Activity and performances

He appears at clubs and festivals in London and beyond, including Gilles Peterson Worldwide Festival, the O2 Wireless and Yoyo at Notting Hill Arts Club. His profile extends from Berlin to Brooklyn.

Collaborations and releases

Son of Kick works with the French DJ and producer Simbad on a collective project with Grems and Disiz La Peste called Rouge A Levre. He also works on tracks with MikaMiki and Foreign Beggars. His recording work appears on releases for Stanton Warriors’ imprint, Beats Records, Botchit & Scarper and Equinox Records in Berlin, including the single “Guacha”.

Remixes and label work

He also remixes for other artists and labels, including Tokyo Police Club and Husky Rescue, as well as Man Recordings, ESL Music, Civil Music and Om Records.
