Solareye

Solareye is a Scottish rapper from Scotland and a member of Stanley Odd. He is formerly the frontman of D.O.P.E. (Disciples Of Panic Earth), a live band, and has also performed with a range of live improvisation groups and at open mic nights in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

His rapping is described as having a confident, natural flow and a strong gift for storytelling. His debut release, Somniloquy, is rooted in rap but draws heavily on live instrumentation, with an appeal that reaches beyond hip-hop into jazz, funk and broader live-band styles. The record is presented as socially conscious material, with lyrical comparisons drawn to the work of Burns, Welsh and Kelman.
