Stéphanie Sokolinski

Stéphanie Sokolinski uses the name SoKo and says she has done so for as long as she can remember. She is a singer and actress from Bordeaux, and she appears in several French films. She begins singing after asking a director to let her sing on screen. Her song “I’ll Kill Her” becomes a hit in several countries in 2007 and 2008, including Denmark, Austria, Belgium and Australia. At that time, she is not signed to a major record label and says she does not want to sign because she feels it is too rushed. She mentions at several festivals that an album may be released in autumn 2008. In January 2010 she starts playing live again and writing new material. By January 2011 she is living in Los Angeles and has started a new musical collaboration called MachiNette with Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint.
