Sofia and the Antoinettes
Sofia and the Antoinettes is an East London-based artist who makes indie pop with an introspective, cinematic feel. Her music draws on literary and visual influences, including Leonard Cohen and Lana Del Rey, and is described in terms of existentialism and glamour.
Her songs focus on themes of love, loss and identity. She uses written responses in interviews rather than spoken ones, and her work is often framed as evoking a meeting point between the worlds associated with Sofia Coppola and David Lynch.

Her debut EP, Women Who Love Too Much, takes inspiration from Robin Norwood's book of the same name. The title reflects the same concerns that run through her wider work, particularly emotional dependency and self-understanding.
