Snatch
Snatch is a punk duo from the United Kingdom formed by Patti Palladin and Judy Nylon, both American women who move to the UK in 1974. The pair first call themselves Cha-Cha before adopting the Snatch name during the British punk era. They work as an all-female punk act and are also associated with new wave and no wave.
Recording history
In 1976, they record a set of demos at Palladin’s flat. Two of those recordings, “I.R.T.” and “Stanley,” are issued as a single in February 1977. Another single, “All I Want” backed with “When I’m Bored,” follows in March 1978 and comes close to the upper reaches of the British charts. A final single, “Shopping For Clothes,” appears in April 1980.
Later release
A compilation of previously unreleased tracks is released in 1983.
