Slow Crush

Slow Crush are a Belgian shoegaze band from Leuven, active since 2017. The group begins with vocalist and bassist Isa Holliday, guitarists Jelle Ronsmans and Jan Jouck, and drummer Steven Cammaerts. Their sound is associated with dream pop, indie rock, pop, shoegaze and slowcore.

History

The band forms in Leuven in 2017. Their debut EP, Ease, appears in May 2017, followed by their first album, Aurora, in September 2018. In 2018 they sign with Holy Roar Records.

In 2019, Jan Jouck and Steven Cammaerts leave the band because of personal commitments and health issues. Jeroen Jullet and Frederik Meeuwis replace them. A deluxe edition of Ease is released in October 2019.

In March 2020, Slow Crush release the 7-inch single Reel and Pale Skin. In 2021 they sign with Church Road Records, which releases their second album, Hush, in October that year. They later sign with Pure Noise Records in 2024 and release their third studio album, Thirst, in 2025.
