Slinky Wizard
Slinky Wizard is a psychedelic trance project from the United Kingdom. It works in the goa trance and psytrance styles and is associated with early releases on Flying Rhino Records.
Formation and members
The project begins in 1992 when Adam Boyd and Dominic Lamb compose its first track, The Rising. George Barker and Ronnie Biggs join soon after, and the group later includes Gus Till. The verified membership for the project also includes Adam Boyd, George Barker, Dominic Lamb, Gus Till and Ronnie Biggs.
Adam Boyd dies in an accident in the summer of 1994. Ronnie Biggs stops being credited on Slinky Wizard tracks from around 1995/1996, although it is not clear whether he formally leaves the group.
Releases
With help from Simon Posford, Slinky Wizard creates Slinky Wizard EP, the first release on Flying Rhino Records. Between 1996 and 2001, the project issues Witch Juice on Flying Rhino Records, Jammy Mutants EP on Flying Rhino Records, Money Comes Cheap EP on Flying Rhino Records, Hit And Run on Atomic Records, and Kinky Lizard EP (Hit And Run Part 2) on Atomic Records.
Later activity
From 2001 onward, Slinky Wizard has no further output. Over the years, the project also works with or is joined by Simon Posford, James Monro, Dick Trevor, Matt Evans and Jules Evans.
