Skeleton Gong is a Glasgow group active since 2007. It begins as a doom metal project and is associated with doom metal, stoner metal, experimental metal, psychedelic music and space rock.

The act is described as an idea shared by two friends and neighbours, Rick and Rab. It is also framed in terms of occult-style imagery and a playful, self-mythologising approach, with references to “wychfinding” and to a “bong gonging” aesthetic. The group’s stated origin remains Glasgow, Scotland.
