Skeewiff

Skeewiff is a UK electronic group made up of Alex Rizzo and Elliot Ireland. The duo works as DJs, musicians and producers, and its sound centres on breakbeat, big beat and electronic music, with strong elements of jazz and lounge. It also draws on big band and Indian influences, and often presents as largely instrumental music with a playful, dancefloor-focused character.

The group’s tracks are widely used in games, film and television production, including for brands and projects such as FIFA and Adidas, so some of its music reaches a broad audience in a more indirect way. Skeewiff also collaborates with older musicians such as Hammond organist Alan Hawkshaw, and remixes artists including Lemon, Ursula 1000 and Amy Winehouse.

Alongside its recording work, Skeewiff runs the label Jalapeno Records and also starts Pedigree Cuts.
