Skapes

Skapes is a London-based bass house project associated with Alex Calver, with releases on Punks. The act is linked to bass house, bassline, breakbeat, breaks, dance and deep house.

Skapes also appears in earlier information as a skate-core band formed in 2002 in Uelzen, south of Hamburg, with a line-up of Thomas on guitar and vocals, Sven on guitar, Nils on bass and Maik on drums. That version of the group signs to Martial Music at the end of 2005 and issues the EP Resistance will Rise. It is described as a live-focused punk act built around fast tempos, mosh parts, melody and group-sing sections, with songs intended for skating, enjoyment and reflection.
