There are at least three artists with the name Skam.
1. A Miami based lyricist, of Jamaican descent. He has worked with Eminem, Ill Bill (La Coka Nostra, Non-Phixion), Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), Talib Kweli, DJ Spinna, amongst others. He also did album artwork for Eminem, A Tribe Called Quest, La Coka Nostra and others.
2. A Norwegian ska band - according to themselves the result of a one-night stand that turned into a healthy relationship. The sort of romance consists of eight totally different musicians with roots in such diverse musical styles as traditional New Orleans jazz, 70’s and 80’s rock, funky pop-music, the Bob Dylan repertoire – basically everything in the universe.
3: An Italian dance-project consisting of the producers Lorenzo Carpella & Francesco Scandolari. Since 2000 they released several club-tracks like "K-Linka" "Close Your Eyes" or "Do You Like This?".
4. A British rock band hailing from Leicester. Formed in 2009 by Steve Hill (guitar), Matt Gilmore (bass), Skam are a three piece, hard rock band based in Leicester. With the latest addition of Neal Hill on drums, SKAM are the strongest they have ever been. With over 450 gigs to their name and having played in every major city in the UK, the guys are a crack live unit with a stage show that is second to none. With a reputation for delivering no nonsense, gutsy, classic sounding British rock music, played with passion and conviction the band have steadily built a strong local following. One notable local review dubbed them “Leicester legends.”
Seasoned road dogs that they are, they have been asked to support several major rock acts including: The Answer, The Union, Saxon, Airbourne and Electric Mary.
