Sixty Watt Bayonets

Sixty Watt Bayonets

Sixty Watt Bayonets are a female-fronted garage-punk group from Reading. The line-up comprises Penny, Will, Mike and Billy, who meet at Reading University. Their sound is described as drawing on the style of Siouxsie and the Banshees and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The group releases its debut seven-track EP, Pounding Hearts, Fighting Words, and it receives favourable attention from Rock Sound and Kerrang!. From the first demo onwards, the band works closely with Club Velocity, which supports the development of its sound through a 12-month residency at the Club Velocity nights in Reading.

Sixty Watt Bayonets also complete a mini UK tour and plan a download single for January 2010.
