Sithu Aye is a guitarist and solo recording artist based in Scotland, UK, originally from Burma, now Myanmar, with an origin also associated with Glasgow. He is born in 1990 and works in instrumental progressive metal, djent, instrumental rock and related progressive styles. His name is pronounced “Seetoo eh” or “C2-A”.

Background

Aye graduates from the University of St. Andrews with a Master’s degree in Physics. He develops a guitar-led instrumental sound and is described as a progressive metal and djent artist.

Recordings

His debut album, Cassini, appears in 2011. The album is influenced by acts such as Periphery, Animals as Leaders and Chimp Spanner, while also establishing its own sound and sense of progression.
