Sísý Ey

Sísý Ey is an Icelandic group formed around the voices of Elín Ey, Elísabet Eyþórsdóttir and Sigríður Eyþórsdóttir. The project begins in 2011, when Carmen Jóhannsdóttir, who has already worked with Elín Ey, sets out to bring the three sisters together for live house music and to place their voices in a different musical setting from their more acoustic-driven work.

After looking for a producer and DJ to complete the line-up, the group finds Oculus as the missing link. From the outset, live performance is the main focus of the band, with the project built around presenting house music on stage rather than as a studio-only collaboration.

Sísý Ey works in deep house and electronica and is identified with Iceland’s electronic scene. The group is made up of the three sisters Elín Ey, Elísabet Eyþórsdóttir and Sigríður Eyþórsdóttir.
