Sister Sin

Sister Sin is a heavy metal and hard rock group from Gothenburg, Sweden. Formed in 2002, it is a female-fronted four-piece whose style is described as being reminiscent of Accept and L.A. Guns. The group is active from 2002 to 2015 and includes Liv Jagrell on vocals, Jimmy Hiltula on guitars, Strandh on bass, Dave Sundberg on drums and Christian Bendarz in the line-up.

Recordings and releases

Sister Sin issues early recordings through smaller independent labels before moving to a wider release with Switchblade Serenades on Victory Records. That album reaches number 107 on the US Top Heatseekers chart in its first week. The band follows it with True Sound of the Underground, recorded with producer Henrik Edenhed, which reaches number 96 on Top Heatseekers. In 2012 the band releases Now and Forever on Victory Records worldwide, and Black Lotus follows in 2014.

Tours and live activity

The band tours the United States twice in support of Switchblade Serenades, appearing with acts including Motörhead, Otep and Ill Niño. It also tours Europe with Arch Enemy and later with Lordi. Further US touring includes runs with Straight Line Stitch, System Divide, In This Moment, Blackguard, Destrophy and Otep. Sister Sin also plays festivals including Sweden Rock and Norway Rock, and tours Europe in support of U.D.O. in 2011.

Associated names and production

Henrik Edenhed produces True Sound of the Underground. Cameron Webb mixes Now and Forever; his credits include Motörhead, Social Distortion and Danzig. The band also records the single Rock n Roll, which features Doro Pesch.
